FAQ

Questions, answered

Everything people usually ask before ordering an Igloo. If yours isn't here, message us. We'd rather answer it twice than have you guess.

📦 Ordering

How does ordering actually work?

Four steps, all on this site:

  • Open the configurator and design your box: modules, colors, artwork, all of it.
  • Go to the Review tab, enter your email and shipping address, and hit Checkout.
  • Pay on Square's secure checkout page (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Cash App Pay). We never see your card details.
  • We build it to exactly what you designed and ship it out. Your design comes through with the order automatically, and you get a confirmation email right away.

The design step usually takes about five minutes.

Can I design my box before I buy it?

That's the only way it works. Open the configurator and build whatever you like; nothing is charged until you choose to check out, and your work-in-progress is saved in your browser automatically.

Want to come back to it later or show a friend? Use the Share button to copy a link that holds your entire design. Reopen it any time and it'll be exactly as you left it.

How much does it cost?

Price depends only on how many modules you build. Colors, artwork, text, dice box, dividers: all included.

  • Single (1 deck): $30
  • Double (2 decks): $55
  • Triple (3 decks): $80
  • Quadruple (4 decks): $100

Shipping within the US is free. Orders shipping to an Ohio address have Ohio sales tax (6.75%) added at checkout; everywhere else there's no tax. The configurator shows the price for your configuration right above the Checkout button.

I paid in person or by invoice. How do I send my design?

If you bought at an event, or emailed us and paid a Square invoice, you don't check out again. On the configurator's Review tab open "Already paid in person or by invoice?", enter the receipt number from your Square receipt (or your invoice number), and hit Send design.

We match the number to your payment on the spot and your design comes straight through, with no second charge. If you'd rather pay by invoice than online, email custom@icygamesdesign.com and we'll send one.

How long until my box arrives?

We target a 3-day shipping window.

If anything comes up that pushes that out, you'll hear from us by email. We'd rather tell you than leave you refreshing a tracking page.

Do you ship internationally?

Not at the moment. Domestic shipping only.

Can I change my design after I've submitted it?

Yes, within 24 hours of your original submission. After that your box is likely already in production and we can't pull it back.

Email custom@icygamesdesign.com with your order reference (it's in your confirmation email) as soon as you know. The sooner the better.

🧊 The box itself

How many cards fit?

Per module: 100+ double-sleeved cards with the divider and dice box left out, or 60+ with both installed.

Every module is the same size, so a quadruple holds four times that.

What sleeves does it work with?

It's designed around double-sleeved standard-size cards, and we've tested it directly with standard-size Dragon Shield and Eclipse sleeves.

Most standard-size sleeves should fit fine. If you're using something unusual and want to be certain before ordering, just ask.

What's it made of?

3D printed in rigid PLA plastic: light, stiff, and durable at room temperature. Colors and artwork are UV printed directly onto the outer panels, which is how you get sharp full-color detail rather than a sticker.

PLA does soften above roughly 50 °C / 120 °F, so don't leave it in a hot car. Full details on the Care & Warranty page.

Can I add modules later, and will the colors match?

Yes. Modules snap together side by side or back to back, so you can start with a single and grow into a quadruple over time. Every piece is user-replaceable and serviceable, so nothing is a one-shot decision.

The honest answer on color: we can't promise a 100% match on a module ordered later. Filament manufacturers have their own batch-to-batch variance and that's outside our control. We always use the same brand, so it comes as close as it reasonably can, but if an exact match matters to you, ordering the modules you want together is the safe way to do it.

How does the lid stay shut?

The front of the lid snaps into the main body. No glue, screws, or magnets; it holds by geometry alone, so there's nothing to lose or wear out.

🎨 Colors & artwork

Which parts can I choose colors for?

Any color you like on the UV printed outer panels: front, back, both sides, and the lid front.

The dice box and divider are printed in solid filament rather than UV printed, so those pick from our stocked filament colors instead of the full range.

Can I upload my own artwork?

Yes. PNG, JPG, or SVG, up to 50 MB per file, and you can stack as many pieces as you like on each surface along with custom text in 14 fonts.

Two rules: you need the right to use it, and no copyrighted characters or material. Every upload is reviewed by a human before it prints, and we'll email you if there's a problem rather than printing something you didn't intend.

What resolution should my artwork be?

At least 1000px on the short side for a crisp result. An SVG is better still, because vector art stays sharp at any size, so it prints perfectly however large you scale it on the panel.

The configurator warns you if what you've uploaded will come out soft, and we'll reach out before printing if anything looks like it won't hold up.

What happens to the artwork I upload?

It's used to print your box and nothing else. Order files are deleted automatically 60 days after you submit them, and we don't reuse, resell, or add customer artwork to our premade library.

More detail on the Privacy & Terms page.

Why is the premade artwork watermarked in the configurator?

The preview copies carry a light watermark so the library can't simply be downloaded and reused elsewhere. Your box is printed from the clean original. The watermark exists only in the browser preview and never reaches the print file.

🛡️ After it arrives

What if a part breaks?

Any part that breaks or becomes unusable within 90 days of delivery gets replaced free. Send us a photo of the damage and your order reference and we'll print the replacement.

Full terms on the Care & Warranty page.

How do I clean it?

Soft cloth, slightly damp, mild dish soap if it needs it. No dishwashers, no hot water, no solvents, and no abrasive pads. The color and artwork sit on the surface of the panels. Dry it before putting cards back in.

Can I buy a replacement part outside the warranty?

Absolutely. Every piece of the Igloo is replaceable: lost divider, cracked lid at month 14, whatever it is.

Email custom@icygamesdesign.com with what you need and the colors, and we'll send you a Square invoice for it and print it once that's paid.
